About SHOWDEV

A center for empowerment and community development.

Our Story

Sustainable Hope Foundation for Women and Youth Development (SHOWDEV) is a nonprofit, non-governmental organization that deals with issues concerning women, youth and people in the communities. SHOWDEV provides varied services geared towards improving the quality of life of its beneficiaries for sustainable development.

SHOWDEV was born out of a strong desire to assist in the personal development of women, youth and people in the communities, with a strategy aimed at skills acquisition for meaningful contribution to communal empowerment and development — culminating in poverty reduction. Our intervention programs are rooted in Poverty Reduction, Education, Health, Gender Equity, Peace Building, Capacity Building, and Collaborative Advocacy, Legislation, Empowering Community Cell Groups, and Provision of Medical Assistance.

Mission

To empower women, girls, youths and vulnerable populations through agriculture, livelihood skills acquisition and training, promote gender equity and justice, and advocate for accessible and quality healthcare and education.

Vision

A world where women, girls, youth and individuals have the skills and resources to create a better future for themselves, their families and their communities — where gender equity and justice is a reality, and access to quality education and healthcare is universal.
